Richard Bland College is proud to partner with the American Red Cross throughout 2026 and 2027 to make a lasting difference in our community. Four times this year—September 16, 2026, November 19, 2026, February 8, 2027, and April 22, 2027—we invite you to join us in an act of love: donating blood.
Love isn't seasonal. Neither is the need for blood. Every pint donated can save up to three lives, and together, we have the power to change outcomes for patients across our region facing surgery, illness, and emergencies.
Whether you're giving before the holidays, on Valentine's Day, or celebrating Earth Day, your donation remains the same gift of hope—a pint of life from someone who cares.

The American Red Cross provides e-gift cards, exclusive promotional merchandise, health screenings, and ongoing reward points to thank volunteers for donating blood, platelets, or plasma. Because inventory demands shift throughout the year, the specific perks vary depending on the exact date of your appointment

Blood Donor Rewards Program
The ongoing Red Cross Blood Donor Rewards Program automatically tracks your contributions. Donors accumulate points that can be redeemed for official apparel, gear, or digital gift cards. Every donation receives a base of 100 points, with the following bonuses:
- Power Red: 100 bonus points.
- Plasma: 100 bonus points.
- Platelets: 100 bonus points.
- Type O Whole Blood: 100 bonus points.
- Type O Power Red: 200 bonus points.
